thoughts on the AWARE saga

When women feud, all hell breaks loose...

The new exco demonstrated perfectly the strategy of "shock and awe" to win electorial contests. Keep all your activities low profile in the run-up, then unleash the surprise. I've often thought about it, but it's now a proven strategy..

There are retards who write into the ST forum page to ask the Government to ensure AWARE stays secular. Is there anything that Singaporeans can do WITHOUT our Government? Secularity of the organization should have been written into the AWARE constitution itself, and sufficiently protected from exactly such takeovers, and the changes that come with them. Then again I'm no lawyer, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about..

Singapore (generally) need a whole lot more PR expertise. If you're in a position where you are suddenly thrust into the limelight as a public figure, you better be prepared for the limelight.. not sure about the old exco, but the new exco definitely failed in this area.

I fully support equal rights for all. I simply hope that whichever future AWARE emerges, it will continue to do the same.
